Help me out... I just pulled the trigger on Sig Cross Sawtooth Magnum 300 PRC. The gun ate up a lot of my budget but I still have around $2k to spend on scope & suppressor.

Would I be better off spending the entire $2k on just a scope and forego the suppressor or go with a lower cost scope in the $1k range and save the other $1k for the suppressor?

Recommendations for a scope, rings, and suppressor?

I plan on taking this rifle on an elk hunt this fall in the Thorofare backcountry of Wyoming. It's a horseback hunt so I won't be personally carrying the rifle at all times but lighter weight is still a priority as it will be used on other backcountry hunts in the future.

I was thinking if I went with just the scope I would try to find a used NX8 4-32, if I go the scope and suppressor route I would have to drop down to a SHV, Athlon Helos, or something similar. I really like Nightforce for its durability.

For what its worth I've hunted the last 5 years with a Tikka t3X .300 WM w/ a muzzle break and SHV 4-14x56 I sold the gun to a buddy as a package deal. I've taken several animals in the 300-400yrd range but would like to stretch my comfortable distance a bit further for this upcoming hunt.

Thanks!
