been looking at these like the idea of one unit to give me all the info figured i would ask if you have one and what do tou think about it thanks

I dislike the temp in the gadget, if it is in the sun, it gets hot and throws data. Otherwise it is a pretty good solution.

If you don't shoot past 800, then the 2400 BDX is fine, and less money. And, if you get a Kestrel or Garmin you can link to it.

Works great. I wish the app would sync your data to the net. Every time I get a new phone I have to reenter the info and sync. I also wish it synced more than four guns. Other than that, I love mine.

Regarding the temp, do you mean it throws data if its allowed to soak in the sun or just in the sun period?

If it is in the sun the lrf gets hot. The temp in the solver is hotter than the ambient air. The solver uses the higher temp. Higher temp means denser air. The solution comes out for you to hold higher because it thinks the air is denser. You dial or hold too much. You shoot and miss high.

Once it it hot, you can't cool it down veey easy. With a Kestrel, its the same thing, but you can whirl it in the air and get an accurate temperature.

Its a good solution, but isn't perfect. Fortunately, closer distances it doesn't matter as much, but once you go further, it can matter a lot more.

It is very easy, takes only seconds, to lock the temp at the current ambient temp in the Kilo 2400 abs. Open the app, insert desired temp to be used and hit sync. It will use that inserted temp for fire solutions until you change it or switch it back to RF unit sensor for temps.

EDIT typo Kilo 2400 abs not kestrel

I've had no issues with mine and have used it to shoot out to 1000 yards with a couple of my guns. I have used it to take a few animals furthest being 700yards which has been nice to range and dial.
Like others have said you have to be mindful of the unit if left in the sun or sitting in a warm truck on a cold day.
