Sierra Heavy TMK 6MM Testing

For those who want ammo with the tmk… but really don’t want to jump way in.

You can easily get an electronic powder thrower, arbor die and hand primer for fairly cheap and just build your own ammo. This would be hand loading, but not reloading. For the price at the boutique manufacturers you can easily be in a setup like above and be making ammo with whatever brass/bullet/powder you desire.

Yeah! Run basic virgin brass, and then sell as once fired. Keeps things really simple. If they make it for your cartridge, just buy Starline brass.

Thanks - I will look into this. I am not looking to push boundaries of performance speed-wise, just looking for the best available projectile.

You probably don’t have a well shooting rifle. I’d meet anyone local and bet them $10k my 10lb 6 creed puts 10 105 Berger’s under 1.5”.

Wouldn’t even hesitate if anyone is in CA and “wants to take my money”.

This was this morning.

I didn’t question your rifle….? I questioned whether you would show up… I have 3 rifles that shoot hand loads that would be VERY close to 10rds under 1.5”. But i am not sitting on the internet telling people I can do it?

Thank you for the input sir! Quit trying to challenge your manhood to random people on the internet? Also @Ryan Avery shoots 10x the rounds as most people, aka, by all measures an expert… I’d probably listen too what he has too say?

That's not your hunting rifle, and you know it. HAHA

I'm not saying people can't shoot 1.5" ten-shot groups. What I am saying is that if you shoot enough around other people, you start to see treads, and the tiniest amount of pressure makes people do funny things.

I am allergic to callifaonia so I can't meet you there.

Hey man,
Just relax. He brought it up in good nature. @huntnful is one of the last guys on here that needs to prove he can shoot.

Will be starting a shoot this weekend w 5 untimed shots at 1.5” dot for score. Any bets on the outcome ? Should have 10-12 shooters.

For five untimed shots on a 1.5” dot?

Yes.

For reference out of 150+/- shooters at shoot2hunt classes, only 5-6 have hit the 10 untimed shots inside the 2 MOA circle when they showed up. No, these are not brand new shooters or inexperienced either. People remember what they did one time, or a few times on their home range from a bench, or a perfect bipod position- as to what they will do all the time.

Is this because most show up with a rifle that isn’t properly zero’d or because they actually can’t shoot under 2.1” at 100yds?
