Did you try the 116gr in your 6XC?Maybe. I used the 116gr in a 6x45. But, I think that’s a bit low MV for most. The 107gr and 95gr are great for them.

I’ll be buying a box of 116’s also. But happy to send 107’s.I would do that and send some 116s back your way when I get them to see what shoots best

You typically can’t go wrong with 30.5-31 grains of varget in a dasher. Pick any charge weight in that range and get to shooting bugholes. You can probably run a little higher if you’re chasing highest velocity.Anyone have any suggestions for starting powder load for 6 dasher, alpha brass, varget and the 107 tmk?

The effects of that are showing up. We see 1/4 the number of deer from 5 years ago and live in one of the counties with the highest deer densities. A lot of the other counties are really hurting. They're still selling tons of tags though, so guys are still killing piles. The only thing I miss about living in Iowa is how easily I could just shoot as many does as I wanted. No idea at the time how good I had it.
Northern WI woods hunting you earn those does lol
@FrankieP1988 this x3 is the dasher golden ticketThis
Nailed it. Add to that the fact that the DNR keeps cutting down all the trees on huge swaths of public land and it really makes you wonder what they're thinking with regards to managing deer. In the last five years I have had four chunks of public land that were great bow hunting spots for deer that they cut down every last tree. The effects of that are showing up. More on topic....I'm building an 18 inch 6 creed. Is it smarter to use the 107 or 116 tmk? Antelope up to elk and everything in between....
The 116gr is the bullet for 243/6cm and up in my view.
I know it! After Shawn Carlock is done with my 338 Edge +P I'll start getting parts for a 6UM 40*.All this talk is starting to make me itch to get a 6 WSM going at some point. I have the brass already and barrels are cheap.![]()
Form, if i may just clarify. prior to these for 6/243 you recommended 108m over 115 dtac mostly due to neck length and less favorble tumbling at distance in smaller animals which makes sense.Yes. All the TMK 6mm are better or more what I want to see than the DTAC for most uses.
