Sierra Heavy TMK 6MM Testing

I am afraid I don’t follow you on this one. Are you saying it is unrealistic to expect an 8-10 pound hunting rifle to shoot a 1.5” (or better) 10-shot group?

It’s unrealistic to expect MOST SHOOTERS to shoot a 10-shot sub 1.5 MOA group with a 8# hunting rifle

Posted this awhile ago in another thread I believe. But that hasn’t been my experience with them at all. (Yes this is absolutely cherry picking one of the better groups and 7 not 10 shots) but they have all been around .75-.8 for a majority of 10 shot groups I’ve tested. 2.800 coal, short-ish but ime these TMKs do well with a good bit of jump.
Id be happy with that

From what I have witnessed, it is very hard for almost anyone to shoot sub-1.5", 10-shot groups on demand with a sub-10-pound hunting rifle. I'm not talking about "I did it once or twice"; I'm talking about on demand.

Kind of lost track of this thread, but is the general consensus that the 107 are finicky on getting to shoot well?

I would not say this is a consensus at all. What I have seen from 6 Creeds has been very promising for both the 107s and 116s.

I also don’t think my experience thus far is typical.

These do seem like a very easy to please bullet. Pretty much a one and done on @RancherJohn John’s “load development”. A .574 at 2860 at 8000 DA goes a long long ways… haha

My 19” PBB 1-7.5” was almost identical velocities to John’s 18” MRC, with a .5gr less powder in each load, which seems typical for this rifle.

I’m not sure they will edge out the 115 DTAC NR’s for me but the 107s are very intriguing.

I'm not happy unless its 20 under 1.5", y'all ruined me.

"On Demand" cracks me up. Wtf does that even mean? Someone demands you shoot 1.5" or better? It does sound cool tho.

Laying prone, good rest, good conditions, all my rifles shoot better than 1.5". If they don't at the start, the load needs tweaked.
I agree! My 8.75lb tikka .243 will shoot 108 eldms sub moa on many occasions.5,7,10 groups. Now it’s the rifle weights fault?

Swapped the 6CM barreled action over to a chassis so I can shorten the LOP for my daughter.

Left group is the shifted zero, right group is the corrected zero after adjusting (came down one click afterwards).

With no zero correction, it looks like it would have put all 10 into a .6-.7
