Barrel length?Another 8 twist factory tikka .223 success so far. 25gr lvr, lc brass, rem 7 1/2 br primers. 1.3" for 10 at 100yds. 2588 Avg velocity according to my cheap chrono. Would post a pic of my group but my phone won't let me for some reason. Gonna load some more and test at 4-500yds to see if they stay stable. If they do then I'm gonna definitely run one though a black bear and see what they do. Has anyone tried 8208 xbr with these in a plain .223?
20"Barrel length?
Assuming it’s an ARC if using 29gr of leverI finally got around to trying 88s in my factory howa mini.
1x hornady brass
Rem 7 1/2s
29.0 gr of Lever
88 tmk seated at 2.30 COAL (about 40 thousandths off the lands)
2830 fps with a 5 shot group that measures .631"
It looks pretty warm, but not hot.

Yes, I have. 23.6 grains of 8208 in factory 1:8 Tikka 16" and 18”. Stable at my DA and 1.5ish" 10 shot groups.Another 8 twist factory tikka .223 success so far. 25gr lvr, lc brass, rem 7 1/2 br primers. 1.3" for 10 at 100yds. 2588 Avg velocity according to my cheap chrono. What were you getting for velocity? When my 88s get here I plan on starting at 23 grains of XBR.Yes, I have. 23.6 grains of 8208 in factory 1:8 Tikka 16" and 20". Stable at my DA and 1.5ish" 10 shot groups.
That’s all I shoot out of my 223s. It is very accurate for me. Not super speedy but definitely acceptable. I can report back soon as far as with the 88s, with 69-77 It’s been a great powder.Another 8 twist factory tikka .223 success so far. 25gr lvr, lc brass, rem 7 1/2 br primers. 1.3" for 10 at 100yds. 2588 Avg velocity according to my cheap chrono. 23.0 gr XBR/88TMK was a sweet load for me in the 223.What were you getting for velocity? When my 88s get here I plan on starting at 23 grains of XBR.
Yeah I'm shooting 80 ELDMs over 23.7 gr at around 2700 fps from a 16" barrel. Hoping to get 2650+ with the 88s.23.0 gr XBR/88TMK was a sweet load for me in the 223.
2685-2700 fps from a 18” barrel.
I shot out to 1120yds during load dev to true bc, and found the g7 pretty accurate.
I was a little hesitant to push faster since 23.5 was my 77gr load. I’ve pierced a few primers pushing high pressure before, and didn’t want any surprises with this load.
I get 2625 out of a 16” barrel and 2690 in the 18” barrelWhat were you getting for velocity? When my 88s get here I plan on starting at 23 grains of XBR.
23 of XBR in my mind when I was day dreaming different recipes was going to be top end in a standard 223 chamber. Probably more like 22.5gr, but I don’t have the rounds down range to back that theory.23.0 gr XBR/88TMK was a sweet load for me in the 223.

I still have only used Varget and H4895 with 88’s.
I pierced a primer the other day @23gr H4895. Could have been a primer not seated deep enough, but time will tell as I shoot more of them.
It’s just such a small case it seems like even small powder changes really move the needle as far as pressure
Shot the 10 round group today, 8 of 10 rouds were .75 MOA the other 2 rounds took the group to 1.75 MOA, I feel I pulled those 2 rounds but it is what it is.Shot 3rds of each load below. No signs of pressure, I can see, although I pretty sure they would be over book max, if the 88TMK had load data for .223
.223 T3x 20" 1 in 8 factory barrel with Banish 30V2 suppressor using Pods magazine.
88TMK
2.43 COAL
1x fired LC brass
7.5 Rem Primer
H4895 23.0 gr avg 2632
H4895 23.5 gr avg 2679
H4895 24.0 gr avg 2740
Have 10 loaded at 24.0 gr for when I can get to the range. Shot the above in my backyard at 50 yds to get velocity readings.
what can is that?22 Creedmoor.
I had to put a barrel back on and I forgot it was 1:7.5 and didn’t notice that until it was torqued and out of the vise. I’m at the sea-est of the levels so I figured let’s see if it’ll do it. (I have an 18” 1:7 too)
It's almost summer here. If you haven't experienced SEUSA yellow pine pollen its something else. I'm wearing my Duckworth Vapor Hoody today too.

45gr Staball HD 2693fps. This was listed as a "Max Load" from that chart someone posted that Sierra said we should follow. I need 2775 to get quick drop at 0 elevation but man look at that group.

I'm back on that crappy brass I've been nursing and had a case head failure on the first round and partial on the second.
I'm tempted to stuff a few more grains in there and tap it down or get crunch to see if I can get 2775 but I really want to cut this barrel down to 14" so unfortunately another swing and a miss for Staball HD around here.
That's an AB Raptor 8 with a 3" reflex and a WEKA cover.what can is that?
Whats your thoughts on that can, with & without the reflex? That's an AB Raptor 8 with a 3" reflex and a WEKA cover.
It's a great can. Raptor 8 with 3" reflex is the sweet spot for the AB raptor line. I don't shoot any of my raptors without the reflex. I hunt with lighter suppressors but shoot the raptors at home on flat range. I've hunted with them before, it's just hard to beat a 7–8 ounce suppressor for carrying once I had some.Whats your thoughts on that can, with & without the reflex?
Been wanting for form1 a huge reflex, stamp in hand but boy will it be heavy in stainless lol
