Would a 1:8 twist work with the 107s?
There are certainly applications for mono and bonded bullets where meat loss is a major factor and engagement distances are closer, ie blacktail deer.Reading the notes it sounds like a lot of meat was destroyed. I get it for some applications, i.e. extremely long range where velocity drops really low. Other than that, I won’t be going the route of soft bullets for hunting. I don’t want explosive terminal performance. I’ve seen the results of Nosler Ballistic Tips and the absolute mess of bloodshot meat. Is a pure match bullet not worse yet? I prefer a well placed hard hunting bullet over hitting an animal with a grenade and wasting a lot of rib and shoulder meat. Your experiences and application may vary.
