I’ve had Polaris Rangers since they first came out, probably on my 7th or 8th machine now and have never had any of them in the shop for anything. Regular maintenance is always done per recommendations by myself.

I've had my CF Moto Uforce 1000 for several years now. I bought it slightly used with aftermarket doors and windscreens. I couldn't pass up the package deal with a new snowplow and Big Tex 14' trailer. I just change the oil and air filter, and continue to beat the piss out of it on the farm. 1700 miles on it and it has been worry free. Oh, one of the tailgate cables broke.

Dang, I leave and work for a couple hours and ya'll got me hooked up with some great responses. To note, I'm cheap and this rig will be primarily to bird hunt with two dog boxes, hence the sxs need as I previously just strapped a kennel on the back of my atv. I've got a Yamaha Raptor for really going fast and all that. I think I need to spend some more time looking at the can0ams used options out there.

I own a SxS / UTV shop, they can take a beating. If I had to get a workhorse / ranch one, it would be a kawasaki mule (4x4) with locking diff's. But you can't go wrong with a Polaris or Can-Ams either.

Do your services and they will last a long time.

Love my mule pro FXT. Bought it used with 400 miles on it and I’ve put about 2,100 miles on it in the last two years. Mine is primarily for work. If money wasn’t a factor I’d buy a CanAm Defender Max.

We ranch for a living on big country. We currently run 4 SXS and several 4-wheelers. The Kawasaki mule pro fxt is without a doubt the best unit we have found for ranching/hunting. We put 27000 miles on one we just sold, have 18k on another unit and my newest unit is at two years old and about 14k miles - we've owned a half dozen since 2014 when we bought our first one. We have a canam fully enclosed that we like as well but it's not as good of a hunting rig but nice in extreme weather. The Hondas we've had are just not as smooth and not set up as well. Polaris is an absolute no- go for us.

Not sure what your budget is but full disclosure, I own zero. My in laws own 3 and I work on them for us. They had an original rzr and it was honestly a pretty good rig but it's limited by todays standards. They picked up a 2016 Can Am Maverick and it was a pretty good step up. From there they got a Honda Talon 2 seater and sold the Polaris and then got a 4 seater talon with the live valve shocks.

If I'm just riding around, the 4 seater with the live valve is the play. If I'm hunting, I take the Can Am or the 2 seater Talon. I like the chain drive system on the Hondas a bit better than the Can Am as well but their cargo area is beyond small. All of these are a bit sportier than what you're wanting I imagine.

The new cabbed rangers are really nice and offer a bit more functionality for a work type rig. I know a lot of people who had the older Teryx too that have had good luck.

We havnt has any problems with our 2018 Kawasaki Teryx4. We picked it up used in 2020 in boise with 80 miles on it for $10,000

We had a Polaris Ranger 800XP on the farm that had thousands of hours and tens of thousands of miles. While it wasn't used heavily in mud or rock crawling in the mountains, it got worked like a borrowed mule hauling feed and a welding machine and never gave us any trouble. Now we have a John Deere Gator XUV and while it is built like a tank, it is not nimble or quick and would not be my choice in the mountains. Got a cousin with a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 and I love that thing. The transmission and engine are smooth as silk and no reliability issues so far.

I'm biased towards Honda based on their four wheelers. I've never seen any ATV that can match a Honda Foreman for reliability.

Bought a well used 2013 Ranger in 2019, serviced it, replaced suspension bushings,wheel bearings,brakes and no further repairs aside from fluid changes. Gets ranch usage for 7 months a year as well as an elk hunt in a remote location every year. No complaints for 12 yrs old and $7k purchase price. My only annoyance is that to lube the suspension requires disassembly as no zerks.

There is a reason there are so many used Polaris SXS's for sale. I prefer Honda and Yamaha. Polaris would be my last choice of all major brands. Honda's are bulletproof.

I had a Polaris quad that I liked and when I decided to go to a sxs, I looked at them. While I was at the dealer, I saw a Yamaha Rhino 700 that caught my eye. It was a trade in and had brand new tires on it. I did a little research and went back and bought it. It was 10 years ago and it is a 2009. I still have it and all I have done is service it and put a set of tires on it. It has over 5,000 miles on it and I love it. I also had a 5,000# winch installed when I bought it. Has a dump bed and I use it a lot around my place. I raise some hay and I have 10 acres. I recommend it highly...!!!!!

My vote is Honda. Have a pioneer 1000-5 at work which has done the job for 3 years now. I bought a pioneer 520 for the size. It’s passed all my tested so far. I’m not concerned about a cab or heat/ac.
