SHV 3-10 vs Razor 1-6 for Midwest

I just picked up a Ruger Hawkeye Guide in 30-06 and I'm torn between scopes... My use case is mostly Midwestern hunting where my longest possible shot is 350 yards. Over the last 5 years my shots have all been between 65 and 140 yards.
Price being about the same on the used market, is the 1-6 Razor enough, or would I be better off going with the SHV? Am I limiting myself for future Western and Alaskan hunts going with the 1-6x?

Order both from optics planet. Compare side by side in conditions you hunt. Return the loser.
But for what you do, not what you may do. The future will tend to itself.

Not being familiar with either and just looking at them I would go with the SHV 3-10. Reason being the lack of a bell objective on the Razor might reduce your low light capabilities. I also think the SHV would cover more bases with all around use, being you have the best all around cartridge (30/06).

For a 30-06 I am thinking the SHV. I am hunting with a 1-5 and a 1-6 on two 300BLK short range guns and even then I'm typically starting at 2-3 power at 50yd and out. Better low light at mid-higher power as well.

SHV 3-10. You're not limiting yourself unless you're going 650 yds or so +. Own a few of SHV's and have a lot of rounds and use on 2 of the 3-10. Never a hiccup. Also, the SHV will be brighter, and their center only illumination is very well done; it's just the ticket for Northwoods swamps near dusk on overcast afternoons.

The SHV is a REALLY nice little scope, I’ve got two and wish I had more. Have one on a 30-06 and it seems like a perfect match.

Not familiar with Vortex at all so certainly not throwing any shade that direction either.

I'll warn you that the SHV doesn't give you much adjustment for eye relief on a Ruger long action. I have one on my Ruger and I had to get extended rings to get the proper eye relief.
