I'm glad I listened to the voice in my head that said to head home. Next morning I was blowing green stuff and blood from my nose ! Truck has two cylinders missing from either bad coils or spark plugs or both. Drivers side headlight went out and the rear right turn signal. Nothing that would have left me stranded but I couldn't know that for sure.
I usually plan to be home for Thanksgiving but was going to skip it this year to hunt. Glad I didn't ! I had a great dinner with my son who's a senior in college. I don't get to see him often and it's even more rare to be able to have dinner with just he and I. Since I wasn't supposed to be there my parents had gone to my stepsisters for Thanksgiving leaving my son house sitting and taking care of the dogs alone. Worked out great in the end.
Already planning for next year and I plan to go hike tomorrow to start getting back to where I need to be.
