Oh it can definitely be ammo. I have a barrel on a gasser that will shotgun pattern PMC FMJ ammo about 10", and then put a string of Hornady V-Max into about 1". The first time I shot it was so bad I thought the barrel was loose or something. Try a different ammo for sure!I'm just getting started...
This is a 10 round group with 556 Frontier 55 gr FMJ through a Tikka 223.
Can I blame any of the spread on the ammo or do I just stink?

My trainer .223 did not like a lot of factory loads. I don't have a picture of any of the 55 or 75 (?) gr Frontier loads, but they were similar to the first picture here.
It really likes ADI 55 gr Blitzkings and 69 gr SMKs. Second picture is a 20 rd group with Blitzkings.

Am I doing this right? Bought a used UPR and this is what it put up.

Umm sir this looks like a hole punch...
How?
Ransom rest?
Or just poking a bit of fun ?
If legit that is world record benchrest accuracy, especially since they shoot 5rd groups.
For example (not my group):

Alright, I’ll bite, why ya being so coy with the info? Got any info on the rifles favorite load or what stock and scope setup your running or any velocity data? Not challenging your results, I’m skeptical, but if the intent is to generate curiosity by showing a 10-shot group that looks like 1 round from my 375 and not spilling the beans even a little… congrats, you did it!Thats cute. I wont enter my 06 tikka in competition cause it wouldnt be very sporting.
Not gonna mention the nockdown power it has in the elk woods.

If the intent is to troll or be a smartass, well that’s just uncouth sir
