Show your Tikka ten round groups

Every time I open my reloading cabinet I see my prepped 6.5cm brass and unopened 130tmk box staring at me.
I think this will finally motivate me to load it up
Nice shooting

This was the first load I've done with the 6.5cm. Used to load only 308 then got sick of the process. I just followed the Sierra info I found online. Pretty happy with the results. Still need to check the velocity.

for the factory sporter barrel users in this thread. Are you letting the rifle cool down. say 3 shot 3 shot 4 shot? or are you going 10 all back to back. My tikkas seems to loose accuracy after 2 shots due to heat.

Unless the barrel is not free floated. If using a factory stock, Dremel those nubs out of the channel and give the barrel plenty of room

10 shots as fast as I can make it happen. I seriously doubt that barrel heat is your problem.

its free floated in a stockys vg stock. my groups go 2 in the same hole then the 3rd out side often times way outside. May just be my shooting? I always thought these pencil barrels hate heat and that was reason

I find it hard to believe I can put 2 in the same whole then I mess up that much on the 3rd

Tikka barrels are correctly heat treated. What you are seeing is either you, or small sample size bias.

No cooling for me. Sako and Tikka barrels are true cold hammer forged and then properly stress relieved. I shoot T3 lite contour barrels until they are so hot the mirage can start affecting target acquisition. It doesn't change POI whether shooting paper targets at 100 yards or steel targets at long ranges.

I'm not going too quickly but not slow either. I'll get a shot off every 30-60 sec or so. If I'm at public range I usually let the guy to the left of me shoot his braked 338 Lapua and the guy to the right dump his AR mag.
