Two 10 shot groups and a 5. Factory ammo. The best group was some Outback Sierra 69 grain. 5 shot group is some American Eagle 55 grain 556 ammo. The other 10 shot group is BH 77grain TMK. Just trying out my newly converted JK solvent trap. It's sweet! Tikka SL 223 1:8, SWFA 10X. 100 yds

New T3X Lite in 6.5 CM, trying different ammo while waiting on reloading components.

How do 140 Berger Hybrid Target do on game animals?

BFC9C827-4227-4F9C-BC6F-94125D77907A.jpeg10 rds prone to get 1.22”

10 inside 2” on the Kraft target but I pulled the first standing and blew the first kneeling shot. Still an improvement over last year!

Thanks! I swapped scopes and put a SWFA 6x on my tikka sl. I had a 20 round box of ADI factory ammo. I used 7 rounds to get it sighted in. 69gr hpbt. My rifle doesn't like Black Hills 77TMKs.

3A374ED6-ACB5-4775-866E-FBCB67AE2F98.jpeg1.15” today with 23.5gr of N140.

Middle group was 5 shots across the magnetospeed. Decent POI shift but group (5 shots) seems to be fairly similar. Left group was just 2 shots to check POI of the AE Factory ammo with my current zero.

Tikka 6.5 creed
Hubby mounted a new to me scope swfa 3-9mildot
Left 5 shot group at 100yds, 1MOA
Right 5 shot group at 200yds, sitting on my rear, using the Tall bipod (my least favorite position), 8" group (I was just happy they were all on the board, tbh)
27F, 5-10mph breeze from the West, shooting to the South

I may be coming round to liking Tikka a bit more than my Winnie (Savage .300 WinMag), but I'm not there yet. Will need to see how she (Tikka) works at 600 yds.

At least tonight I don't feel like I should call my chiropractor, which is a huge improvement from how my dates with Winnie go...lol.

Pretty sure the horizontal is me dragging the stock. Don't have the vertical grip on this rifle yet and am having a hard time with hand position.

That flyer is going to haunt me. I was shooting through my fence ~6 yards in front of me and the first round broke a wire. I also pulled a shot about halfway through my string... Not sure which is which though. I don't think the flyer was the first one (think it was top left) but at sunset through the 6x it was hard to see.

9 rounds into 1.15" at 114 yards. 2" overall group with the flyer.
24.3 gr N140 - 75 gr ELD-M
I'd loaded a ladder from 22 to 26.5 and shot them over a chrono. I got an ejector mark at 25.5gr. There was a big velocity jump at 24.5-25 so I figured 24.3 would put me just under 2700 fps.

6 shots across the chrono was 2713 w/ a SD of 10 and ES of 30.
10 shots on paper gave me the group below. Then I was able to hit my 8" plate at 390 also kneeling supported.

Gonna load another 10 and see if I can not pull one, and also see if there's any difference between the LC18 and 19 brass but probably just stick with this. I did an extremely in depth load development with the 77SMKs and got similar results to this 24 round load development. I have no idea if this is a "node" or a "forgiving" load w/ regards to charge weight or seating depth, but on paper at 114 tonight it was good for me.

Why the switch from 147s out of curiosity?

Why the switch from 147s out of curiosity?

140s have been easier to find, increased velocity, I know how the 147s perform and want to try something else. 130 bergers are easy to find too since most people want to shoot 140+ out of their 6.5s.
