Show us your catch? FLY FISHING Thread

great stuff right here. Used to fly fish a lot years ago....and I miss it! For about 8 years I lived 1 hr away from the white river in Arkansas...some of the best fly fishing in a very unexpected state. Before that, spent a lot of time in South Dakota and Wy. Hoping to get back into it and try some flyfishing for bass here in texas this year. Hopefully pics to follow this year!

The prettiest brown trout I ever caught, on the Green River in Utah, almost 30 years ago.

One of my favorite things to do is catch big trout on tiny creeks. These fish were all caught on creeks, where in some places, you can jump across.

While I am an avid fisherman I just can't seem to get the fly fishing bug like some many others have. I've caught some fish while fly fishing, but as of yet, it just doesn't light my fire like fishing with marabou jigs does for me. With that said, here is the very first brown trout I ever caught on a fly rod. He was fat as a football. I will admit fighting him on the fly rod was fun, but so is catching that same sized fish on an ultralight spin rod.

My oldest son showing me how it's done with a nice Montana rainbow. Despite his persistence in trying to convince me I need to fly fish more I've yet to convert. He sure is good at it though.

Glad I spotted this thread. Great photos!
I spent 5 years in CO and now 5 in MT and still haven't learned to fly fish. I say I'm going to do it every year, but as of yet haven't done it.
