I have a pair of 10x42 pures and am thinking about picking up a 15x Meostar.

Would I be better served to get rid of the 10’s and do to 8’s?

I would use the 8’s as more of a handheld option and the 15’s on a tripod.

I hunt southwest Colorado and southern Wyoming.

Anyone in Denver have NL 8’s I could look through?

Many thanks!

If you are in the NL pure price range already, I agree, trade up and get the 12s - can hand hold or tripod them. And with the better glass over the Meos you aren't going to miss anything. Nothing wrong with 15x Meos - I have them, they are just heavy and tripod only and need to be an option for a big difference from what you can pack along. For western hunting wouldnt recommend lower than 10x

I’m in the upgrade to 12x NL crowd.

I’ve had NL 10’s, NL 12’s and SLC 15’s.

I regret letting any of them go but needed money in a bad way at that time. I tested all three on a spring bear hunt. 12’s would be my all round pick for a do-anything bino.

The NL 12’s will NOT leave you wanting the 15’s.
