Should cell cams be banned?

I live in north central Texas and have hunted a fair amount of Texas. If you want to improve the quality of hunting you will do more by banning high fences for game animals than cell cameras. I have used cell cameras when my lease was 2 hours away. I use cell cameras when pig hunting a property to figure out their patterns.

I still have to be there to take the shot when the animal is there. The cell camera saves fuel and time.

During pig hunting "season" I can be hunting two or three properties that are all hours apart. I am saving miles and time checking feeders & signs so I can spend more time actually hunting.

I get it with hogs. Dudes doing this with game animals is a little crazy.

I don't see one person pushing for cam bans on anything other than big game. Deer and elk to be exact. And it sounds like it's the cell cams that give real time info that people want out of the woods during season.

A big hunting contest starts next month. I want all the info I can get with 1st place paying out $75k for biggest pig.

I use them on private and have considered using them on public too but where I hunt the elk don’t go far from where they’re at in the summer. I’d be fine if they got rid of them on public during the season.

I personally think it takes the spirit and sport out hunting and gamifies it. Not fair chase imo
