Shotgun Suppressors?

Anyone have experience with any of the available shotgun suppressors out there? Not nearly as many options currently as rifle suppressors, but seem to be more and more popping up. Interested in any experiences in general, but specifically curious if there's a go-to option for something like a reasonably lightweight/compact turkey setup?

I don’t think there is a consensus right now. We had a lively discussion about the Banish 12 and other options a few months back, but I haven’t heard about any model interesting enough to me, yet.

I’d really like a good shotgun suppressor.

I was looking at the VICTRA-20 from YHM the other day. Don't think it is available yet, but looks like it could be relatively light and compact in one of its shorter configurations, while still maintaining sub-140db levels at the shortest config. No details on how they obtained those numbers though so take that with a grain of salt.

I'm tempted, but haven't tried one out yet. I fondled the JK suppressor at this years hunt expo. Still gonna wait til I hear more good reviews before I purchase one though. Maybe Danny at Airlock will do his black magic and make a shotgun suppressor that is actually lightweight and performs.

Hadn't seen the JK ones yet, but definitely look more interesting than some other options out there. Would be awesome to talk to someone with some firsthand experience with them.

Guess we can start bothering all the suppressor manufacturers on here until someone makes a good one

The JK 12ga is pretty good IMO. Haven't shot a ton of rounds, but I did shoot a variety of bird, buck and slugs and I was pleased with the performance. I have not used any others so maybe there's a better mousetrap.
I got a deal on the "breacher" version at my LGS and after some inquiry was told it would be fine for bismuth and hevi-shot. I can't say for sure if they(JK) told me TSS or not. it's been a while and Turkeys (tags) are hard to come by in AZ.
There was a very significant reduction in blast noise and recoil on 12ga. I'm optimistic that the same form factor in 20ga will be that much quieter and it could be very nice for hunting with. but it will be a while before I get down that path and maybe something else will hit the market by then.

Are you running a red dot on your shotgun then? I thought I remember that it would obscure the bead on a standard shotgun sight.

I did the Phoenix Armory Route, if I was to do it again I would by buy a short barrel shotgun for suppressor use and try a JK or a banish.
