SHOT Show Requests?

I'll be attending this year's SHOT show with Rokslide. Is there anything in particular you guys want looked at or asked about?

Ya, I have a request, if you see Berger, can you give them a swift kick in the butt and tell them to step up production. :)

I think those Nightforce are FFPs and gonna run north of 3 bills now that I've finally saved enough for a "standard" NXS.

But if you happen to see the Bushnell (gag....I know) LRHS line designed with input by George from GA Precision, maybe you could give them a once over? Last year was the 3-12. Heard a 4-18 due this year along with MOA/MOA

These look pretty good. Another scope I was impressed by was the Burris XTR2. The mechanicals are definitely up there with the best!

From the multiple pictures from itstactical and on Kifaru's FB page it appears that there's a multicam cargo panel on a duplex frame with an OR dry sack between the two.

Can anyone at SHOT confirm this and/or give more details on the new cargo panel? Seems like everyone is just focused on the mountain rambler and new EDC pack.

I'm interested in this as well. I think the 3-18 VX6 would be an ideal size/magnification for my light 260. I will definitely spend some time with Leupold at the show!

Hi Sam,

If you get a chance can you see if the scope you mentioned above (3-18x44 VX6) can be purchased with exposed turrets for elevation and windage + the TMOA reticle. Not a fan of the pop up turrets offered on the "base" model and think you can get them exposed if you go with the CDS system but want to make sure you can do so with both elevation and windage. (Since I dial for distance I wont use the CDS system but if it gets me exposed turrets instead of the pop ups offered on the normal scope than this will be a solid contender for my next scope)

Thanks for all the updates.

Burris XTR II Turrets...Very nice scope!

Bushnell LRHS 4.5-18 x 44. MOA/MOA, G2M reticle, FFP. Everything they say about FFP scopes is true. When on the lowest power, the hash marks on the reticle are useless. This was true on ALL of the FFP scopes I looked through. If the reticle employs thick posts (like a Duplex), you can still center the crosshairs for a quick, close shot. The G2M reticle has a circle in the center, so it would work well for that.

The turrets on this scope were very nice!

Visited with the Talley folks for a while. High quality tactical style rings and great folks!

You all know how I feel about Nightforce, so...the new FFP 4-16x42 ATACR is sweet! Love the Zero-Hold system!

Leupold uses a similar zero hold turret on their Mk6 line. Turrets feel nice on this scope as well. I looked at some VX6 scopes, as well. After turning turrets on scopes that were designed for constant use, the CDS dials leave a lot to be desired:)

Visited with Zak Smith from Thunderbeast Arms. Their 338BA suppressor is very nice! It's a titanium brake attach can, weighs 23.4 ounces, and retails for $1795.

Sam, thanks for the pics. What did you think of the new Manners Elite Hunter Folding stocks?

You stated that hashes on a ffp scope are useless at low mag, but wouldn't the same be true on a sfp scope?

Thanks for the pics.
