Shot group calculators - Is everyone using the Ballistic-X app?

Many of the targets I see guys posting here are calculated by Ballistic-X. It looks like it has some cool features, like combining shots from multiple targets to calculate the total cone of fire. I'm thinking about getting it.

Do you like the app? Have you tried an alternative? What makes it worth the $ to you?

Heyyy, I made the list!

Yeah I like it, had it for several years. It used to be a little finicky but functions well now after some updates. Mines the free version, I don't see a reason to pay for the advanced version. I just export with the info table to my photos.

It works intuitively enough for me that I never bothered to try an alternative.

I use the Hornady app. Works well enough for me, and I like how you can attach your ballistic calculator profiles to the groups.

There are several similar apps. Some are only available for iOS or Android. Consider a PC app too.
They all have different price points and different features at the base price.
Ballistic-X has a buy once price. Others may be free, require annual subscription, or have add-on's.
The trick is getting the features you want for a lower price.
I've got ShotFusion too. It's as easy to use as Ballistic-X and I like it for the additional stat's.
BX and SF developers are around the Hide a little.

This short thread is a good start but may be dated re: available apps.

Ahh yeah, I went back and looked in my app download history. I did pay for it. Bad memory / assumption based on the $9.99/year “advanced” version they have.
