So, seems like 18” barrel should get you to 2800~ with the factory 108s. Think I’ll go with that direction.

That's what I'm seeing reported. 2800 factory and 2900 handloaded depending on barrel and elevation. Might be a good length to be at for a short carry gun that can still reach out to 650 yards while still above 1800 fps.

Get an 18” proof blank and have it chambered. By far the fastest option.

Yeah I just looked and couldn’t find an 18”. Guess you’ll have to go 16.5”!

PVA and Preferred Barrel Blanks both offer a carbon wrapped options at various lengths for prefits.

I went 18” on mine and have been very happy with it.
