Anyone running a 16”-18” 6creed? What kind of velocity are you getting?

I'm shooting 70gr Nosler BT's with RL16 in my 20in 6CM and if I recall it's around 3350ish fps. It's a relatively mild load so I could stand on it a little harder or change to a different powder but it shoots crazy good with that load in just about all temps so why mess with it. Besides, you typically don't put a shorter barrel on something then worry about how fast it does or doesn't shoot. For me, short barrels are all about convenience, especially when you screw a can on them, then anything else.

I’ve cut my barrel to 18” and just finish loading for 108s, hit pressure a little over 3000fps, settled my load at around 2970.

18” 6 Creed running 108 ELD-Ms over a stout load of H4350 in Lapua SRP brass with CCI-450s. It’s going to get a 16” barrel when I burn this one up.

You must be stepping on it pretty hard, I worked up to pressure (heavy swipes) and backed off a little and settled at 2900fps with the exact same components.

I did this in the Texas summer heat at 500’ elevation.
