Shooting off Vortex ridgeview Carbon ?

Hello all, I recently got a Vortex Ridgeview from a friend. I was thinking about getting an Acra- Swiss style plate to attach to my rifle for shooting off the tripod. Trying to have the Tripod be multi-use for backpack hunting. Is anyone familiar with this tripod? Would it be stable enough or am I wasting my time trying to find a plate for the rifle? I never ended up shooting off of it .
