Shooting bag fill?

Spex lite 5125 is the "Git lite" fill that Armageddon used, and its cheaper to order direct.
I have like 10 Liters of the stuff I could ship you if you want.
My Schmedium sized homemade bag full of it weighs 1lb 3oz, and half of that is probably the fabric

Are you planning to use the bags at the range/shooting matches or carrying on a hunt? I prefer a heavy fill unless I'm carrying the bag a long ways. The heavy fill I've removed from Armageddon Gear bags looks like a very fine white beach sand.

For a lightweight bag, Git-Lite is probably the most premium fill, but it isn't cheap. https://git-lite.com/products/tester-gl
I have some of this in a schemidium mixed about 50/50 with the sand and it works really well.

Reposting here. Git Lite is just rebranded spex 5125

My better half is a seamstress on the side and has a room full of machines, plus bolts of waxed canvas and leather from her bag making business (shameless plug for RaenWorks Bags).
I’m going to have her make me up a couple schmedium knockoffs for personal use.

What have you guys found or used for bag fill? I know there’s a lot out there, I don’t need ideas, I want to know what you’ve used.
I see that Box to Bench Precision sells the Spex-Lite branded stuff, and they’re pretty proud of it.

What else have you guys come up with?

Waxed canvas filled with polymer pellets and aquarium sand to your liking. I can adjust the weight or packing fill

I sent my dad a bag set off Amazon. Didn’t come filled. They threw sand in it, and of course it leaks and ends up on the table. Elbows don’t like that, rifles don’t like that.

He emptied them out and refilled with this.

Works pretty nice.

I took a few old socks and filled them with pinto beans. Stays in the deer stand and works pretty darn good for the cost of beans.
