I have to say you're asking the question of all questions when looking for opinions. I'd lean this direction as Rob is unless I was on ground known to produce bigguns, assuming that's what you're after.

My freezer is almost empty and I love Mule deer the wife and kids included. So yea dead deer no questions asked.

Depends on what tag is in your pocket and ultimately what you're looking for. Everyone definition of a shooter changes with every scenario but i'm sure if you had him in archery range or even in your crosshairs youll pull the trigger.

I'm not a big fan of mule deer meat and he's too small for a mount.....so no.
Gotta say that if it's a high country deer that has been eating grass/forbes/willow all summer, I think it's some of the best meat around. That said, I've only ever eaten mule deer from the high country scenario, no idea what one eating sage tastes like.
