Shoot2Hunt University

Mainly financial reasons. I'm aiming for a one-gun setup for hunting in Colorado, and I'm hoping the ARC can serve both purposes. It sounds like folks have gotten the most out of the course shooting .223

What platform is the 6arc? I don’t think recoil and barrel life wouldn’t bother me much for the course. A finicky rifle or less ideal scope is a whole nother matter.

I’m not Form or Ryan, but the 6 ARC makes a very nice one gun solution, @mholifts. Form covered this in a podcast. It has very long barrel life, and very low recoil. If you handload, it’s very cheap to shoot. Something like the 105 BTHP

I get that, but now that I have a 223 practice rifle: 1-I shoot thousands of more rounds a year 2: My main rifle is a fast 6mm wildcat with a barrel life of 7-800 rounds. (I wouldn't even make it through the course on 1 barrel) and my trainer is a carbon copy of my hunting rifle so there is no real "adjustment." The best advice Ive gotten off of here is the 223 practice rifle. Its a game changer.

I'm bringing a 6 ARC rifle and trying to decide whether to primarily use it or rent a .223. The ammo cost difference would likely cover the rental, so I’m open to either. Which rifle do you think I would benefit most from shooting?

What is the rifle and scope setup?

Should have finished reading.

This will work perfectly for the class.

I'm getting similar treatment, except no response since yesterday
Bueller? Bueller?

I've been checking. Daily. More than daily. On weekends. Nada. I've checked back via email periodically and received the "check back" response, even though "this week" was the quote in February. At this point I can't decide if it's worth it. Anyone have a different experience? Might need to start a separate thread so as to not gunk this one up (further).

My email said to be at the ranch by 1500 on sunday and @philcox has one that Sunday before 1200 and start shooting at 1200. Can someone clear this up? @Formidilosus @Ryan Avery
I received two emails with the second being a correction on the times. Says arrive by 3pm Sunday (in time for dinner), with shooting beginning Monday.

Sounds like a good business opportunity for a local to run a shuttle service
Yeah especially as the classes expand.

I was the only student that flew in my class.

Ya $538 for a tacoma. Everything else even small cars were like $1800

Nice. Paid a little over a grand for the “managers special” for the week before yours. I bet an uber would be similar or more.
