Shoot2Hunt University

For those of you that have attended the 0-600 class and I guess the instructors, what are some "I wish I had practiced, wish I knew, wish I______________." That you would suggest to those of us that are going to the class? Things to work on, consider, bring, that would allow someone to get even more from the classes or be better prepared.
The only thing I would bring is an open mind, tikka 223, more than enough ammo, and a willingness to accept the fact that you suck. I used a tikka in a krg chassis and 10 round steel mags and a maven rs1.2 mil scope. You will want the jellyfish and molinator bags. Accept the process and learn all you can. There’s no need to practice anything special your probably doing it wrong anyways

Anyone tried these mags

I called MDT today (who lists them at $49.99 on their Mamba website). Rep said discontinued because "they didn't sell". I begged for a couple if they had some laying around. He actually checked. They don't have any in their USA warehouse but they have something like 200+ in their Canada warehouse. I tried ordering from the Canada website but got denied due to shipping location. He suggested I email MDT customer support and request they transfer some back to USA to sell. I sent the email...nothing heard yet

Mamba Mag UPDATE:

MDT replied to my email. They will send me a payment link and will ship from the Canada warehouse to the USA warehouse, then to me. Will take a couple of weeks.

So if you want a .223 Mamba Mag, email [email protected]

Did you bring your "hunting" rifle as well? How similar should the .223 and "hunting" rifle be set up wise?

I got the same thing. Wasn’t sure if they would do just a couple or wanted a group buy since I mentioned interest at Rokslide. Your read is they’ll let you buy just a few?

(I guess I’ll find out, as I just sent my info for order/payment)

Yes I did. My hunting rifle is a tikka in 22 creed. It’s 7.5 pounds scoped, so it’s much lighter It has a trijicon tenmile 3-18. When I do the class again I will be using a rokstok and just switch it back and forth between the hunting and practice rifles.
