Am I the only one here that likes shit weather? Looks like fun to me I also think it would be pretty helpful for learning to shoot in adverse weather if your hunts tend to have some. Mine have been 50/50 on weather the last 5 years.

Anybody survive the winter course? How was it!?

We all did! Course was amazing! We got a wild swing in conditions from well below zero to 30-45 degrees with some snow and wind sprinkled in. Our group was solid and some serious shooters turned out. We skied and snowshoed to the field areas outside of our "home" 100 yard range. Food was excellent, same as you likely had @T_Widdy during your course, but more seasonal from what I understood from the summer course veterans. The last night we did the rewarming drill in a creek. If you have any specific questions post 'em or PM me if you prefer.

I took a couple of scenery shots, but that's about it. @Formidilosus could probably drop a few if he was so inclined. I'm sure he has some funny ones of the rewarming drill and our shooting positions/targets on day 1.

I would love to hear what gear and equipment worked good and what didn’t.

It was, without question!

I think the only rifles that went down were M700 pattern. Tikkas kept going. The Waters mags survived the cold well, but they were brutal to touch with bare fingers, mainly loading them. I didn't have any, but it appeared the Mamba mags did really well as did most of the factory ones. I think one factory Tikka mag disassembled, but was quickly and easily put back together. There was a fair amount of SG and Kuiu clothing on the line and everyone mostly seemed comfortable. SG down was great for insulation and even during rewarming. I don't recall any scope issues, but someone else might. UM rings were pretty common and they are robust. Lots of Rokstocks and modified factory stocks.

Poppy, but pleasant. My understanding is it has already been redesigned and is quieter than what we had. If I could buy one, I'd be getting my ducks in a row when they dropped. Looked cool as hell too. I've only used suppressors twice so take my experience for what it's worth, not much.
