Im going back and forth between two medium belt pouches on the back of a muskeg and a Stryker or instead of the two mediums maybe just run a Sherman instead. What do you guys think? Any pictures of your setups would be much appreciated.

I had the same dilema, i went woth the sherman. I by no means regret it, but i think also two belt pouches would be nice i feel you could maybe fit more quick grab items there and snacks. That being said i had my sherman rigged up to become a light weight back pack with a few essential items for a light weight stalk

That’s what I was thinking. The Sherman is roughly same CI’s as two mediums pouches. And it has the option to act as storage like the pouches or dropped down for rifle carry or slung out like a grab it or even extending some compression straps and maybe running it as a mini approach pack. Just seems a lot more versatile than two belt pouches but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t fantasizing something that wouldn’t work like my mind thinks it will.

The medium pouch can be unzipped and works excellent for sliding the butt on a rifle in got carry. I've ran both set ups. I prefer the Sherman unless I need more space to haul gear. In that case, I prefer 2 mediums every time.

I have no experience with the Sherman, however, I find one belt pouch is nice for small items I want access to without removing the pack. What if you got one small belt pouch and the Sherman?

I am not a fan of having a bunch of stuff on my pack belt, so if it must be one or the other the Sherman sounds like the better choice if you need the space.

If the space is not needed, and budget is an issue, I would just get one belt pouch and see what you find yourself wanting down the road.

I like the Sherman because it gives you three pockets for organization. The main pocket with a small inside pocket. Then a nice deep pocket on the front. Plus it can drop and be a weapon carrier if needed. Doesn’t replace what a medium pocket can do but is quite versatile.

I run a Muskeg 5000 and I put a big belt pouch on the bottom 4, I have a Sherman ontop of that (which is set up so I can attach it to my bino harness and have a light weight deal) and then a Claymore for top cover thing.

So I guess both is the correct answer?
