Got my Sheepfeet insoles and the arch profile via the new scanning tech seems right on, but they seem really narrow through the instep area. They don’t even span the entire bottom of my 11.5W Kestrels. See pics of them compared to Schnees stock insole and a Currex I have. There is also a pic of them inserted in the boot. Heel fits in the heel pocket perfect though. Is this normal for SheepFeet?
Btw the orthotic part of the insole does look to be 3d printed now

Mine via the impression box are wider than that. Can you feel the gap? I suppose it’ll be fine since the heel isn’t shifting but maybe give sheepsfeet a call to inquire?

Yeah I gave them a call and left a message and also sent their customer service a email message. I’m not in love with that narrow fit in the instep area tbh. We will see what they say

To follow up on this I was able to get in touch with their customer service and explained the issue. I sent my old ones back and they remade them for me a bit wider in the instep. The new ones are still slightly narrower than the other insoles I have, but they seem to fill out the bottom of the boot better. The new heel cup is a bit wider but I can still get them to seat in my boots. Overall they seem to be good quality and Im happy that they remade them for me. Not sure what the original issue was… if it was the scanning technology not taking into account my wide feet or what….

Mine were too wide and I sent them back. They fixed them no questions asked. Some of the best customer service I've interacted with in a long time (and a great insole as well).

Interesting. Did you get the new 3d printed ones using the foot scanning tech?

Update: been using the Sheepfeet and I’m not really sure I like them. It’s probably just my foot, but I feel like after awhile ( like a couple hours) of wearing them I start to get a hotspot feeling in my left arch. See pics but you can see they are still narrower in the arch area than some inserts I had made at a place called The Foot Lab here in MN. The area I have circled is where I kinda get the hotspot feeling , which I don’t get with the other custom inserts. You can see how the Sheepfeet orthotic is just a straight piece of plastic where the other inserts have more of a wider taper from the heel the instep area.
I’ll continue to use both and see if they break in at all

Follow up again. Sheep Feet are just not for me, I just can’t get them to feel good for me. I do not like how they are just a straight piece of 3d printed material that doesn’t widen out in the instep, and it’s likely just because my foot is wide and flat there. I think for people that have a narrower instep area and a higher arch they are probably great. Oh well…

That sucks. Maybe the Lathrop guys can help you.

Just shows all feet are different. I've spent thousands on shoes, boots, other insoles.

Sheepfeet for me have been great. I'll not have footwear without them now.
