I am getting way ahead of myself here, but any recs on best lightweight game bags for a ram?

I used a nice, lightweight set of Black Ovis bags...solely because they each had a picture of a ram on them! They did work great and I've used them on mule deer and whitetail also. They are out of business...so there is that. ;)

kuiu zip bag is pretty nice. keeps things in a rectangular shape for packing

Argali high country game bags. Multiple times I’ve fit whole boned out rams into one bag. And it’s a good size for most load shelves.

Most sheep hunts entail cutting ounces and bulk on your back. When I first started sheep and mtn goat hunting I used a scale to weigh all my gear and figure out where I could cut the most weight/bulk.

With that said, I use the cheapest, lightest disposable game bags that are available at Sportsman’s. They were a lot lighter than others and twice the length. They are super long so I can cut them in 1/2 for a boned out hind quarter.

I have Argali and Caribou gear game bags. The Argali are what I always bring as they are lighter and dry faster while being tough enough that I have never ripped one.

My buddy ripped one, but it was dragged across the ground with a load of meat in it. I think the Caribou bags would hold up better to that sort of thing.
