Olympus TG4,, found over the years that if you can have it in your pocket, you will take a photo more often than you would if you had to stop and dig a better one out of a pack.

No Sir, we were too close for him to catch any. Those 2 little rifles sure tore him up, the wounds were very impressive.

First, what Kifaru bag did you guys use?

Also, you said Chris ran out of ammo on the griz. Do you only carry 4 or 5 rounds with you on those hunts?

We both were using EMR II bags, Chris had more bullets, however they were in his pack. I keep a full mag and my stock holder well stocked, for this very reason.

There are many story tellers, but there are few true authors who have lived the adventure required to paint a story in the minds of the readers. You sir are most certainly the latter. Thank you for sharing your memories and congratulations on what sounds to be both a rewarding hunt to you and a life defining adventure for your partner. I was glued to the screen from the first word to the last. I would like to encorage you to author a book about the life of a sheep hunter! I for one would love to own a copy.

A big thank you to you Stid for taking the time to write this adventure up and to include all the amazing pictures. Whenever I see a thread that you've started, I know it's going to be full of adventure and good advice. I've really enjoyed all the threads you've done over the years, one of my favorites being 'A decade in the mountains'. It's more than obvious from your writing that the experience is what you live for, not just the trophy. Just as you stated in the thread a few times, I too often find my thoughts wandering to those that came before me and camped or glassed from the same spot I've been at and what adventures they had.

Congrats to your partner for his success and determination, and my hat goes off to you sir for doing what you did in joining him on the adventure and mentoring him along the way. That's what it's all about, memories made in the mountains. Thanks again.
