Anyone else have issues with the forward pulls on the X-Curve belt? I have a difficult time getting it tight. It usually takes multiple pulls at different angles to get it snug. I also have a difficult time getting it to loosen up when I try to take it off. The tensioner slide will not release unless I use my fingers to get some slack in the belt. Anyone else have similar issues? Aware of any fixes?

I have the EVO Krux and a large belt. I have trouble getting it tight, have to unbuckle, adjust then re-buckle. Called Stone Glacier and was told.. yeah that's a problem with large belts.... was kind of dumbstruck after dropping 600.00 on a pack. Is your's a large ?

I was the same as above, but found it’s actually pretty easy to stick a finger or thumb between the two pieces of webbing and get a little slack, then hook my thumbs behind the buckle and pull forward. That’ll loosen the tension on the belt depending on however much slack you gave it. If it’s a big adjustment then yeah, I just unclip it. I will say that if you have it where/how you want it, it’s not budging. Put enough weight in it and it will rip your a** and hipbones off before the belt loosens up on you.

I have the same issue but I may try using some reflective 550 cord on the slide lock that makes it difficult. That way I can generate some leverage when it’s cinched tight and if I can’t find my pack (for some reason) there’s some reflective aids.

I hasve to pull it a few times to get it set, no big deal and unbuckle to loosen. All the strap material is not that e-z to deal with, my kifaru is much easier but the sg pack is still used by me plenty.

I just slightly lift the rear of the right buckle with my left fingers while pulling the right forward pull, then reverse and do the left side...sets tight every time. Might do it twice to fine tweak if needed. I unbuckle to loosen.

I used to have that problem and wasnt a fan of how hard it was to loosen the tension, so i added this to my belt and works great. Just cut a slot in it and then was able to install it.

Same, it's annoying but the pack rides so nice when I get it on that I deal with it. I have a Kuiu Ultra also that locks on tight, I like the x curve a little better but I might try to swap out the plastic bits from the Kuiu hip belt to see if that fixes it.

Yeah same here, broke 3 of those belts already. The back buckle keeps breaking and have to replace the whole belt, can't just change out that piece. I'll give SG credit they have sent me a new belt every time but $20 shipping to Canada sucks. I have no butt and really have to cinch down when heavy to keep it from slipping. Switched to the KF Ma deuce this yr, no belt issues and stayed up the whole time, even with heavy loads. Just my 2 cents. SG was a great bag and frame and I still use but for nothing over 40LBS for my body style.

I do the exact same. No issues whatsoever. I believe SG recommends those two methods on their website even
