Thanks for sharing Ryan- and congrats on all the animals! My wife is from Honolulu and enjoyed all the pics. Looks like you can have some fun with a bow on those islands! Makes it more fongincing I could live there as she always talks about moving back. Wish you the best.

Tell her it's getting crazy here, crowded as heck. We're actually considering moving to the mainland. The traffic is at an all time worst, they're even building a light rail system. The public land hunting areas are slowly closing but we're just trying to make the best out of it.
If for some reason you decide to move, check out one of the outer islands.

Here are links to some other outdoor images of the islands.

How well has the dye held up? The result looks very nice.

So far it's stayed the same since I dyed it, but honestly I wouldn't recommend it as rit dye doesn't do well with water resistant materials. It's splotchy in areas, but I do like how it came out. My pack was a bit worn before I decided to dye it.

How do you like those camp pockets? Considering buying some as I like organization with my pack-easier to find stuff!

I have the 5100 as well and really like it

I love the camp pockets! I'm currently running three plus the swing out pockets. I have everything daisy chained together.

You think crowded over there??? HA! Go Maui!! It's Nutz!! Build, Build, Build....My favorite town Paia is crazy!! I went for my honeymoon last Dec, and was so upset what has happened. In 5 years they have managed to be all Mainland shops, crazy high prices, and only one local shop left, a little antique place of all things. But everything else all Pau!! Now I know what all the grumbling is about. Sad!! Don't get me wrong, Maui is beautiful, but the oldschool feeling is gone. Shame!
