Looks like there are 5 variations of the rifle with varying weights. Is there something that makes you want to try it out over the 22lrs that people tend to get these days (Tikka T1X and CZ457)?

I havent looked at 22s in quite awhile. I am leaning towards a t1x for me to mirror my t3x. But my wife loves to shoot 22 from a bench and I thought with the stock thats already on it if the action is really good and it shoots that would save me from buying extra stuff after I bought the gun. I really dont like to play and move parts. Plus, kygunco has them on sale and its cheaper to get one with the stock I want than buy a tikka, let alone put another stock on it.
With that said, if its not equal to the cz or tikka I dont want it. I dont pay any attn to the reviews on line cause I dont trust anyone writing them.

All the ones on it online I have read or watched, they don’t shoot as well as they should.

I have the Springfield with the composite stock. Only 50 rounds so far. In a very small sample it shoots pretty good. At 50 yards 10 shots were a bit under an inch. This was with Norma Tac on a cold and windy day. I usually try 10 or so different types of ammo to see which is best, and I will with this one. I am also going to adjust the trigger to a lighter pull weight.

Of the guns you mention I also have a Tikka and some CZ 457's (6). The Springfield is a very good price for what you get. Using 10/22 mags is nice.

I love the CZ's, and have them in a few different configurations. But the Tikkas I have been around (maybe a dozen) shoot as well or better out of the box than most guns in their price range.

I was hoping to get a shooter for 400 in the stock I wanted. Sounds like I just need to get the tikka and restock it, but that will end up in the 900 range. Not sure shooting holes in paper for fun is worth the extra 500 bucks. But, I really do like to have all the same brand, my ocd an all.

I made the choice to trick out my rimfire a bit because with ammo costs set to rise substantially I wanted a gun that's cheap to feed. In the long run I think you'll like that route. Also if you can, get a KYL rack to shoot with your 22lr it's awesome.

The T1x is a fantastic rimfire rifle. Mine is boringly accurate with pretty much any ammo I have tried.

What stock do you think you need to shoot from a bench?
