It was supposedly just cleaned and oiled. It's coming with a zig-zag foot, walking foot, binder and other feet/attachments. Plus the 5 original cams, extra bobbins, copies of the original manuals and accessory box. What name brand needles are you using? I want to buy some 14, 16 & 18 size needles. I have some silnylon coming which I figured 14 size for and some 1000D cordura I figured 16 or 18. I'm open for any suggestions/info. It will probably take at least a week for the machine to get here.

Sweet! So I think all that's left is the LED light. I use Schmetz or Singer needles.

Willow, thanks and I'm working on the LED bulb. I don't know the part #, so I'm waiting on the machine to get the old bulb and take it to Battery and Bulbs here in Fairbanks.

Heh, that material is like gold. I've had it for a couple years now I guess. Got it on ebay way back when you could find it.

What binder attachment are you guys using if any? I'm still waiting on my machine to arrive but I'm buying supplies/tools that I will need. Thanks

I sew binding tape manually with an edge joining foot for a guide. I bought a binding foot but I couldn't get it to sew straight. I get a much better product using the edge joining foot.

Thanks for the info and link. I just watched a couple of videos on the edging jointer foot but still not sure how you are sewing your binding tape with it. Thanks again for the help.

The Pfaff 130 is the go to machine for hard sewing. It is not commercial grade, but darn close.

My wife's got 3 of them, including something called a "surger", I think. for me though....I don't even know how to turn the damn things on!

I'm folding the binding tape in half, inserting the main material, and using the edge joining foot as a guide.

where did you end up getting a machine? did you just take a gamble on it?

its absurd you cant find kryptek in cordura anywhere they sure got full of themselves!
some mandrake and highlander in 500d would be sweet.
about 4yds of each is like a unicorn riding a leprechauns.

Skindaddy, I bought one off eBay after talking to the lady several times about it and she also insured and shipped it for free to Alaska. We have talked several more times since she shipped it, so I feel pretty good about it. Because of the price of shipping its coming on the slow boat and that's about to kill me. Kryptek is just unreal!!!

i doubt they would sell it, i checked with kryptek they want huge forms filled out, , what products will be made with it samples of them that they will not return they keep them, your company's recent catalog etc, etc,
what a joke making me think about buying there stuff now.

but anyone know what material kifaru is used is it just called 500d nylon cordura? and is it for sure cordura?.

I found some Kryptek Highlander (can't remember where off the top of my head) but it was $25 yard. I don't want to learn on $25 yard material.
