I’ve decided I want to start doing most to all of the work setting up and tuning my bows in the future. I’m looking for recommendations on D loop and serving material to tie nock points that people have good luck with. I’ve been looking at buying BCY D braid for loop and rest cord material, and BCY 3D or powergrip for serving material. Does anyone use anything that they’ve found works better?

BCY 3D for nock sets and tying in the peep sight, it works the best out of everything I have used. I like BCY 24 for the D-loop and limb driven activation cords.

BCY 3D for tied in nock points. Power Grip or 62XS for center servings. Halo for end servings.
D Braid is good material and burns great but it does stretch some and is not overly durable. Try #23 loop material...it's the same diameter as D Braid but much more durable. It is a little tougher to get a good burn on the end due to the high Spectra content

I second the D braid sentiment. I tried it for a bit, but got a lot of stretch, as well as limited durability. I don't know what material I went to, I just picked something off the shelf at the archery shop. It's much stiffer, and has held up.

I like Diamondback better than BCY 3D after using both quite a bit. Diamondback just holds tighter when tying In nock sets and peeps. 62XS for center serving. Always have used BCY #24 for d Loop but have plans to try both d braid and #23 this year. After the comments above might just go with #23.

I use BCY 24 for D loop material and BCY 23 for fall away rest cord.

For tying in the peep and nock sets I use BCY nock point thread. I use to use BCY 3D but found the nock point thread does a much nicer job. Not as durable as the 3D though.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll be placing an order this week to try a few of those out

I use #24 d loop, and 3 d for nocks , l see no reason to change, works great. I have used other stuff in the past ( can’t remember the brands without going down to check) and I like these better.

I like Superloop for D-loop material, but I have only purchased it in the little 5 feet sections, so it's about $1.25 a foot.

I don't think there is anything significantly better than BCY 3D for serving. I like 0.016 for serving and 0.018 for knock points and tying in my peeps. The glow green makes it easy to see knot loops and also let's you spot frays early.
