Does anyone have a proven gear list they could share? Going on my first archery elk hunt 3rd week September with one other buddy. Will be camping about 4 miles from the truck.

Any recommendations on tents, bags, food, etc. what all y’all bring! Let me know!

Some food I like bringing (cheaper than mountain house):
-Cans of soup (High calorie / cheap)
-tortillas (high in calories / carbs / cheap)
- bottle of honey or peanut butter
-cured meats (great way to keep protein intake up)
-I always bring a pack of steaks to cook for a great first night meal. Usually thaws out during the hike in. Ready to cook by the time camp is setup (dont forget your seasoning)

If you don't mind a bit extra weight during the hike in, these can be good options.

I love my Seek Cimarron, SG 15-degree bag, Nemo Tensor Trail ultralight pad, and a seek ground cloth (Tyvek sheet).

the list goes on but I also carry a GSI 6 piece spice container.
