Last year I shared with my dad. This year I am letting him use my backup hilliberg tent. I now have a megatarp all to myself.

I don't really have a problem sharing a tent with any of my hunting partners.....of course they are chosen very carefully.

x2

I usually only need to share with one guy, but I cant see packing an extra tent. A larger tent is better to hang out in if you need to get out of the weather anyway. SL5 or larger.

lol, good posts. He's a good friend, I'm still bringing my own tent I think. We used to work together.....between the two of us I'd probably have to burn the tent after a week long hunt and dehydrated meals.
Should be a good hunt tho, we've found about the most remote location within 4 hrs of us. Going to be part canoe in and then a few miles backpacking to the area we plan to hunt.

My buddy and I split up a BA copper spur ul3. We are both pretty good sized fellas and we find it to work better than two seperate shelters.

My hunting partner and I are going to share a tent. Its just easier to split the weight up between the two of us, especially on a 9 day backpack hunt, when just alone, our food gets pretty heavy. Ill be so worn out after climbing all day, I dont think I'd even wake up if WWIII started over the top of us. A little sip of some good whisky will help the sandman show up quickly also;)

As long as someone doesn't snore or you have ear plugs. I've had a few really bad nights with a snoring partner and I've done it to others, too.

Brockback Mountain???

i just blew coffee over my keyboard..hahah.

back to the question. it depends. with my brother we shared a tent for 9 days. wasnt too bad. he snores like nose-less person. i wore earplugs. my best friend and i also share. we love the weight sharing..and neither of us have a solo tent. his two man is a heavy 4 season.

the rest of my friends? no way..they are savages. stinky savages, i borrow a tent, or just take my UL two man.

If using a floorless you could always wait till your buddies asleep and move the whole thing. When he wakes up you can claim he rolled out.

Daaaaaymn that was funny. You owe me a new keyboard.

Ordering a Kifaru Megatarp next week, using this as justification for the wife.

I think you are spot on.. I do the same thing.

I like to be at least 50 yds from my buddy.
