Curious if theres actually a big difference when building. Thinking 28 nosler still, found a smoking deal on Sendero Light proof barrel (im already going the proof route) and its a hunting gun, used 3-4 times a year. whats your output? thanks

I wouldn't imagine you'd see any real world (non-benchrest) accuracy difference between the two. That being said the weight difference is negligible (less than 4 oz on a 26" if I read the chart correctly).
I personally have been close to ordering a Light.
I like the fact it will fit in any number of stocks for a (real) Remington Sendero profile. If you're doing a one off, semi-custom .28 Nosler build with a Manners or McMillian, the stock nor the small cost savings would matter much; pick the one you like.
I'll bet you a cheeseburger it will shoot great either way.

Which stock?

It shouldn't matter

I feel proof needs to change the names and not mention sendero

They are nothing like the typical sendero or Rem varmint barrels

Proof will just name the muzzle diameter but you need to looks at the taper too

The proof sendero is a big barrel

I personally like the sendero light

I went with the Sendero Light on my 7LRM build.
For the money I would look at Carbon Six barrels. I've had mixed results with my Proof barrel. It was very picky and the only bullet I've found it to shoot is the Berger 180 hybrid. I'm hoping the new Hornady 180 ELDX will be an option. It's a good barrel but not what I was expecting for $900
