Selling Used Suppressor in 2026?

Putting in to the test today. Sold my Omega 300 to @STXB245 and his FFL in Texas (I’m in Alabama) sent me all his info minutes later. Took me about 2 minutes to submit the Form 4 in eForms. It took every thing fine, individual to FFL/SOT, across state lines. I expect approval by the end of the week. Kinda crazy how easy it is now really.

Annnddd approved. 23 hours 35 minutes, individual to FFL/SOT across state lines. Too easy.

Ah okay, so anything out of state requires transfer to an FFL/SOT first?
I assume that it would be the same as a firearm transfer across state lines and require a dealer in the buyer's state, especially since you fill out a 4473.

I assume so but I can't say for sure. I thought about that as well. Buy my Wyoming Arms 4 Squared Ti I have for sale and we'll attempt a direct across state lines lol!
4”, wasn’t enough huh? Haha
I’m eyeing the Nomad XC Ti for my next can.

None of my Local FFLs have been interested in doing the used suppressor transfer. I have provided them with documentation from the ATF. But they seem very gun-shy to do it.

One of them gave me the lecture about how if you own a suppressor, it is yours forever and must be destroyed when you die.

Interesting how some of these people have FFL’s

Sold a 2nd suppressor and did the Form 4 on my phone just now. It’s kinda crazy how easy this is now. Sucks we have to do anything at all, but this is a vast improvement.

In the process now, are you filling out the questions on behalf of the buyer? or "completing it together in person?"

Hello all, I am 99% done with my eForm 4 for transfer from my personal single shot trust to another in state hunter. I keep getting an error during validation that I am missing my email on the Transferor page. But no matter how many times I enter it, the system will not retain my email. Has anyone else had that error when attempting to transfer from a trust? The email is just as it appears on the original Form 4, SilencerSo account, trust, etc. Dreading the wait times if I have to call ATF on Monday!

Well, if anyone else has this issue... eForms did not like Safari. I switched to Firefox, and saved email, validated the form, and submitted.

Anyone want a lightly used CAT Noah, lol.

Had it on a 6 arc build but moving to a bolt action so may opt for the og/6s otb instead for that application.

So if buying in state what do I as the buyer need to do?

I have eforms that Scheels setup a few years ago. I have not logged in myself.

I can get my picture and fingerprint file from my dealer.

You submit a Form 4 with the transferer's information and submit it with the usual photo and prints. I sold a suppressor in state over a decade ago and did it with the old paper forms. I suppose the process is exactly the same with e-filing.
