Seekins PH3 vs Suppressed Tikka

I think the answer to your question is how much do value a warranty and customer service. Personally, I opted for Seekins as a result. Tikka is pretty useless when it comes to warranty

Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss. I had no issue shooting bare muzzle and rifles with brakes before shooting a bunch suppressed. Now I shoot with a brake and I struggle a little because i'm not used to the sharp pop anymore.

I’d have to say suppressor too. I recently got my first legit rifle can (after only have a form 1 can) and just put in for a second.
It’s much more enjoyable shooting suppressed.

I’m in the market for a new 6mm deer/antelope hunting rifle and need some help deciding which direction to go. I have a $2000 budget for the rifle. I already have the scope.

Option 1 is to buy a Seekins PH3 6 CM. I’ve wanted a Seekins for years and handle them every time I walk into Scheels. The new 20” barrel option on the PH3 has me pretty excited.

Option 2 is to wait for Tikka to release their threaded factory barrels and also purchase a suppressor. I have never shot a rifle suppressed or been around one, so I don’t know what I’m missing, but I’ve read so many good things. For the Tikka, I may wait for them to hopefully release a threaded 6 CM but if not perhaps purchase an 8 twist .243. I have other Tikkas and they just shoot. I also like to tinker with aftermarket mods. I reload so I could take advantage of the heavier bullets in the .243.

Both options will cost me my entire $2000 budget. Is shooting a suppressed Tikka worth giving up my dreams of owning a Seekins?
Tikka and Suppressor 1000% not even a question

Differences in rifles tend to disappear in use. The difference in having a suppressor will not. That's a big deal you will most likely not want to go without after having one. If you tend to shoot game without ear pro on, suppressors are literally life changing and better for your health.

I had a max all in budget from my work bonus this year. I wanted a suppressed hunting rifle but opted for a seekins element hunter instead of a cheaper option which were all great guns. I figure it gives me a reason to work hard this year and get a suppressor next spring heck by then maybe tax stamps and waits are long laughed at archaic ATF BS. Buy once cry once is my thinking

I think there are a couple advantages the Seekins offers over the Tikka, the changeable bolt head and quick change barrel being the biggest, I love the Seekins stock, in the event you had a warranty issue I think it's undeniable that Seekins CS is superior. I have both and love both, but if I had to choose I'd sell everything and keep my PH3. For approximately $650-$700 more I can get a new bolt head and barrel and have both a 6.5 PRC and 6 CM. The big advantage the Tikka has is the trigger and also aftermarket accessory support if you choose to modify.
I will second Seekins customer service. Their no questions asked transferable warranty is legit. I bought a used PH2 that needed to get sent in and they made the process so easy. Have 2 of their rifles and love them both, add in the CS and they’ve made me a customer for life.

I will say, like everyone else, that the can is a life changer. Until I had it I didn’t know any better and after I got it I wondered why I didn’t get it sooner. I went with the Raptor 8 and love it but the AB A-10 is a very affordable can with great testimonial reviews from fellow RS’ers.

If you have any safe queens that don’t have sentimental value I’d get the Seekins and sell something to get the can… you'll thank yourself later!

I already have surpressors but Im really torn here as well. I'm on the fence between getting another Tikka or the PH3. ( I'm probably going with a 6 creed in either). I hate that seekins added the integrated mlok rail that adds a .5 lb plus to the new rifles.
