Seekins PH3 Barrel Changes

You running short action cartridges out of a long action zermatt origin? I was leaning towards a zermatt now liking the stock options, bolt head swaps etc. but was thinking i would need to go 300 wsm with my short action 6.5 creed etc. didnt even think about running a long action for everything. 300 win ammo is quite a bit cheaper than 300 wsm.

The short action magnums really do better in a medium action. I am not running a short action cartridge in a long action. I have multiple short action origins and only one long action. My next will be a medium but there are less options for all accessories.

Checking in to keep up with this one.
I have a ph3 in 6cm that I will be looking for a second barrel for soon.
My initial idea was for a 308, but if a wsm will fit, that would be amazing.

I bought a 6.5CM and a .308 barrel from an aftermarket supplier and I couldn’t be happier! Now I have a .25CM barrel on order. Oh yeah, POI shift was about 3” high and right, 6.5 to .308, which I feel is reasonable. I am considering ordering a 7mm-08 as well. All of these calibers use the same size bolt head but magazines can be temperamental.

Just saw this on a google search since I’m leaning on getting a ph3 in 7PRC and then getting a barrel for 6.5PRC. Seems to be the solution to the long action to short action. There is a specific option for a long action to short action cartridge magazine.

The Apex Predator mags work great, and definitely open up a lot of options for the long action models. I've done a few barrels in 300wsm for guys in short actions, and they've all been happy so far! For my NRL gun I have 6.5cm, 25cm, 6cm, 22cm, and 25PRC barrels that I swap around often depending on what kind of mood I'm in. For the HIT I have 6 Dasher, 22ARC, 6cm, 6.5prc, and 25x47.
