Sorry I meant degreasing yes. I also never never use lock tight. No need to so far. And any rifle that needs it deserves to be questioned IMO.
is this ^ a reference to the action screws getting loose? I recall a report of an early model havak or 2 having barrels that were loose, as in not torqued on and would spin with a twist of the wrist.Yes I have often. Very inconsistent and eventually my barrel starts wobbling off the stock
Yes I'm referring my ph3's action screws coming loose to the point where the barrel / action will literary wobble of the stock at around 100 rounds fired or so. Unknown to me when the screws start loosening to affect accuracy. I'm not about to waste anymore time or components on it. Seekins is building me a new one with a different barrel length and I'm sending this one back. Praying its the end of it.I dont know enough to agree or disagree. I've never had an issue with action screws loosening other than that one custom rifle where the builder assembled it with an action screw that only engaged one thread.. But ive also lock-tited and torqued everything to 50+ in/lb for quite a while.

Seekins received my gun Monday and diagnosed the problem 3 days later. It was my Burris Eliminator 6 scope that I sent with the gun. They're QC manager, Mike Stilson, called and explained everything in detail. He also emailed the sub MOA groups they got with their Nightforce test scope. I also told him about the lack of customer service and he explained they were having some growing pains and they just hired 2 more people for customer service. He also gave me his direct #. I love everything about the PH3. It is just heavy enough to handle the 7 prc recoil but not too heavy to hike around with it. With a Burris Eliminator 6, Banish 30-V2, Quick Claw QD sling, and Skyline Precision Lite Bipod with picatinny rail, my setup weighs exactly 10lbs. Here are the groups Seekins got with 175 Precision Hunter. "CS" is customer scope. Mike also suggested some scopes that he has never seen problems with. Based on the service and diagnosing a problem that I probably never would have figured out, I'm definitely going to buy another Seekins. We'll see how Burris does.I received my PH3 Havok 7 prc with a 22" fluted barrel the last week in October. I've been emailing and leaving voicemails to Seekins since 11/10/2025 and haven't received any response. I've tried 3 different bullets and 7 different powders. I've fired 42, 5 or 6 shot groups with 175 ELD-X's and my average is group is 1.67", 1.55" with Precision Hunter. I've tried different seating depths, shooting from a lead sled, sand bags and a bipod. The gun is very consistent with everything I feed it. Just not very precise. The front action screw worked itself loose after ~100 rounds. I had to pass on a 520 yard Muley Buck yesterday because I wasn't confident. So much for my long range hunter. If I wanted to keep my shots under 325 yards, I might as well be shooting a 7mm-08.
I ran into the same thing with a .300 win-mag PH3, Mike also called me and got my bolt squared up! Send me a target photo and it's even more impressive than yours. Problems are frustrating for 2000$, but they had it fixed and on it's way back in 5 business days....Seekins received my gun Monday and diagnosed the problem 3 days later. The scopes look better with their NF but did he 100% rule out the scope WAS the problem? Mine was poor machining on the bolt face.Seekins received my gun Monday and diagnosed the problem 3 days later. It was my Burris Eliminator 6 scope that I sent with the gun. Unfortunately, these 3 shot groups aren't proving much in my opinion. They said the same thing to my buddy who had a known good scope on. He switched to another known good scope and had the same issue. They did the same 3 shot group tests, and when they sent it back, wouldn't you know it still didn't shoot. Not saying they didn't change scopes and get a tight 3 shot group. But I'd rather see a 10+rd group before I called it "fixed for sure".Seekins received my gun Monday and diagnosed the problem 3 days later. Yeah, id make sure to align with them on what ammo they are using and how they are shooting. A 3 shot group with FGMM SMKs shot slow so it doesn't heat up isn't particularly useful on a hunting rifle.Unfortunately, these 3 shot groups aren't proving much in my opinion.
