Seekins element bubble level issue

So I recently got the new Seekins element m3 and noticed something weird when I was trying to mount my scope last night. I got the gun”level” in my vise with the integrated bubble level in the rail then put a bubble level on the top of the rail and noticed they were about a quarter bubble off from each other. I put the level on the front, middle, and back of the rail as well as across the bottom of the rings. Each spot was the same quarter bubble off from the integrated level.
Moving forward I think I’m going level the scope off of the top of the rail but it just seems weird that the integrated level wouldn’t be level with the action. Or maybe it is and the rail isn’t level?
kind of defeats the purpose of putting a level in the rail if it’s not actually level.
Anyone have experience with this either with a Seekins or another rifle that has an integrated level? Thanks

Not uncommon with levels built in to chassis, scope mounts, etc. Generally why i dont give AF if a chassis has such a feature.

Agreed. I don’t trust any levels I don’t set up myself.

Gotcha. So with that said you would recommend leveling off of the top of the rail?
Seems like a good idea for these manufacturers to make a set screw or something like a bow sight third axis adjustment to adjust the level if they aren’t going to make it level from the factory.

Depends what you want to do for a scope level. If you dont want to add another level and it's close to plumb, i'd just set the reticle to plumb when the bubble is centered. If it's way the hell off, i'd get a level for the scope tube (which is what I do anyway as they are more visible there with my left eye).

A few degrees of scope off plumb from bore doesn't amount to anything for error. Tracking/holding over with reticle out of plumb creates magnitudes more error.

Yeah man I just ordered some Hawkins rings with the bubble level. I guess I’ll just ignore the rail level

on the seeking I had, the built in bubble level never matched other levels I used. It didn't really matter though because you couldn't see the built in bubble anyways when a scope was mounted.
