Maybe I missed it. Any word on when this bad boy is getting released? I assume an attachable footprint or bathtub will be an option.

Where did you see mention of a footprint our bathtub floor? Must have missed that.

I didn't see that anywhere. I'm just assuming they will offer something eventually. It would be nice when it being used in a base camp role for one yearly hunts I do. If they don't offer something of that sort I'll get something made. Also I assume it will have a tie in wall liner or condensation would probably be deal breaker.

Awesome! Do you have plans for making a liner and/or footprint available too?

For base camp why not get a cheaper wall tent? I would say this has its place being packed in but is a premium price for base camp.

i agree
i bought a used alaknak 12x12 and put a stove in it,its awesome! (160lbs with tent and stove and everything)
i would think a tipi is lighter and larger, maybe not the side walls, but I'm sure just as much sitting space with beds on outside edge
8 man tipi is pretty dang big and lighter, probably better in bad weather as well. not bagging on the new shelter, for sure its awesome their is a option like this....

Double duty. I can ditch the heavier stuff when the situation demands it...

Also I have no desire for a 160 pound tent. Not to mention it packs down smaller. Only so much room in my truck. Even in a base camp I want something I can set up myself. Relatively quick.

No plans for liner or floor at this time. Due to the shape and the huge door it vents a fair bit easier than a tipi. Due to the likely stove and sleeper layout a single large floor seemed like it would have too many disadvantages. Not saying one or both might not happen in the future, but for the time being we choose to put our resources elsewhere.
