New ultra 400 unaweep 4800 with zipper showed up today. Didn’t have time to take pictures, but super impressed, light weight, much lighter than my revolution . It also looks really sharp with spectra matched ultra 400 if looks matter to you. I don’t think pictures do the ultra 400 justice.

I have a pack on order, was the lead time 4-6 weeks accurate?

Since you're got a zipper, does it have an internal load shelf or the loops to hook one to?

I believe so, but am not totally familiar what to look for. Showed some pics, loops towards the bottom, some near top as well.

Yes zippered packs have an internal load shelf.

Also , to the comment of looks really sharp and pics don't do Justice .. I agree as do most of us that have seen / handled

Just put in an order for my first SO pack, Unaweep 4800 in wolf grey. Think it should be here in time for my June backpacking trip in the Weminuche.

Received my Unaweep in just under a months time. This is my first SO pack and am extremely impressed. I still have some adjusting to do with the harness after a 5 mile 30lb hike but the comfort level was great with the hip belt, granted 4 pulls takes some getting use to. Very happy I went with the regular Talon and a Merlin. The wolf grey color is on point and much to my surprise blends quite well with the spectra.

Received my new Flight Two a couple days ago. Seems great so far, did a small trail walk loaded up and seems to be exactly what I need so far for hiking and scouting this year.

Two separate pockets a left and right , same orientation as current with the angled zipper, hydro port .. couple small changes
1. Slightly smaller (1100 CI vs 1200 )
2. Internal loops anchored to compression spots , for little pull outs.

Sold singular . or left right pair.

About 12 -13 ounces for the pair .

We have photos, have done testing etc, just need to get the stock photography and a couple small changes .. and the required back end for production. Look for them soonish.

Big benefit in my mind
1. Can run on the frame as day pack 2200 CI .. can add with a merlin and you have like a 3400 CI pack . Can be pretty much an only setup for the ones that like a lot of flexibility.
2. Can add as extra volume on other packs .. can even add with Merlin or Talon but if you can take say a Divide from 4500 to 6700 .. for late season or hunting and only add 13 ounces .. sounds like some pretty desirability.
3. Can be very use case specific .. say all photography gear , add one if you are doing a photograph heavy trip.

It's a dark gray, not black, and being woven it diffuses light well and blends.

The other choices for that material are midnight blue or white lightning...

How do we get to try several bags before buying? Having had multiple reconstructive surgeries on knee, ankle and back in addition to having torn a muscle in my shoulder, fit and comfort at various loads is critical. But I don’t know if anyplace near me where I can try the bags for fit. Suggestions?

Same question. I'd like to try out a Goshawk before dropping that much coin. If I swung by the business would I be able to test things out? I visit friends in Utah regularly, it'd be worth the drive for peace of mind.

If you stop by the shop they will set up a pack.
They even have 50ish pounds of weight on hand.

Thats what I did.

If you can't physically go there I think they have a 30 day return if its as new, resellable.

But your gonna eat shipping, or look for someone on here from your area.

You can stop by the shop, call first to make sure someone will be there with the pack you're interested in. We do have a 30 day return policy. If you have specific questions, feel free to PM me, and we do have a good fitting video, as well as a packing heavy loads video I did on our youtube channel that are very helpful.

Being strictly a bowhunter how quite is the frame and bag have had issues with some other packs always been able to fix frame issues but bags that are noisy nothing you can do with that you people that have these SO packs are they quiet. Thx

I have one of the new Ultra fabric packs and I don’t consider it noisy. When scraping through dense brush I’d say it’s slightly noisier than cordura packs, but not enough to make me worried.
