So I’ve found over the years that Seam Grip can be used to fix holes in tents, sleeping bags, hockey equipment, and many other things, water proof seams, mend seams, glue Velcro to a wall tent, repair my shoes and boots, and my wife’s shoes, etc. I love the stuff. The issue is it is expensive, and once I open it and it sits for a while, it can harden pretty quick if precautions aren’t taken. With that said, has anyone found an alternative to this stuff? Something cheaper or that you can buy in greater quantities, that performs similar? Let me know. Thanks!

No alternative that I’ve found, but putting in the freezer helps it from getting gummed up.

Never heard of the freezer. I’ll try it. Does it need to come back to room temperature to use, or can you use it cold?

I’ve been using the same tube for small repairs that I bet I opened more than 5 years ago. Keeping it in the freezer is the way to go.

I’ll try that for sure. Thanks!
