Cap has a small gap in the back on the corners.

Any ideas how to seal it ?

I've tried the rubber seal.

Have a pic of the location? I used foam pipe insulation with decent success in mine. Not sure what yours looks like though.

One of the biggest sources of dust in a canopy is the space between the tailgate and the bed of the truck. I used an ESI Rok Block to handle that issue. In addition to that, I used ESI's tailgate seal to seal up all other areas around the tailgate where I could see light. See Amazon links below. I'd love to install a positive pressure fan in the canopy to completely resolve the issue, but that would require cutting my canopy and wiring it, which I'm hesitant to do.

I also used the ESI Rok Block recommended above and it worked well for me.
Do you happen to have a bed liner on that truck? Looks like its just double sided stick tape on the Rok Block to stick to the tailgate and bed. Wonder how well it would stick to a rough surface bed liner.

On their website it says it works with spray in liners as well

I saw that but just had my doubts on how well it actually works. I have a seal kit similar to this that sticks great to all the painted surfaces but it does not stick well at all to the bed liner areas. Looking to replace it this summer and was looking for first hand experience.

I have a bed liner and tried it, worked for a few months. That was after a lot of prep and using additional adhesive. Adhesion is definitely a problem.

That is exactly what I have experienced with other products. They probably all use the same 3m glue on them no matter the brand. Thank you for the info.

I use this same seal on my last couple trucks. Works good. I also found that running a bead of silicone all around the inside at the joint between the bed and sidewalls really helps too. Lastly, it does help to crack the front slider open to create a positive air pressure.

I would think part of the prep work would include a light sanding. That is what I always do when glueing to a painted surface.

Probably wouldn't hurt any. From what I understand most all good bed liner sprays have anti gasoline, oil, etc. chemical resistant additives to them. The downside of that is that they are resistant to adhesion from glues and tapes as well. This could be total BS too but I can attest to it being difficult to find a truck topper adhesives to stick to my bed liner material.

Correct. But if your bedliner was applied correctly, and you’re installing the seal in the correct places and direction, there shouldn’t be anywhere that you would be sticking the seal directly to sprayed on bedliner.

Agreed that the tailgate seal around the outside should only adhere to the painted surface. I was specifically asking about the Rok Block which mounts between the bed and the tailgate. I think that would pretty much have to stick to the liner on both the truck bed and the tailgate.

I have a spray on liner in my truck. I put it on in 2018 and there have been a few spots that have started to peel but I've just put a dab of superglue in those spots and haven't had any problems since.

By chance anyone know what the official word(s) are for a piece of fabric (can lay flat) that has a length-wise slot on each side (something like Roman blind tape)? Think valance with a top and bottom rod pocket.

Toying with something like that to replace the tape/gasket setup for the truck bed.

If someone would just invest a boot to seal the sliders on the truck and the canopy to create a good seal and running the vehicle blower on high, we wouldn't have to worry about all this crap.

I used the same seal as 7Mm-08 mentioned above. Works as well as you’re going to get with a pickup without getting in the way of handling regular pickup truck duties. Which is pretty good actually. I live on dirt.
Not the best pic. This was applied according to the instructions in a kit that was purchased at Fleet Farm. Note this my current truck doesn’t have s spray in liner.
