Anyone have direct experience with both the Sea to Summit Spark 30F vs REI Magma 30..The REI has lots of sizing options and currently $265 on sale....hard to justify the Sea to Summit for $200-300 more it seems(479-579).

If anyone has used both of these, or extensive use of either would like to hear. Looking for lighter bag for warmer Sept days when my WM15 bag is overkill

I have the Magma 30, i use it as my warm weather bag. I dont know if i would really trust it to be warm down to 30 degrees, but 40 deg and up should be fine. no experience with the S2S Spark.

No experience with the Sea to Summit, but I do have the REI Magma 30. I think the 3p is definitely more of a limit rating than a comfort rating. You're probably fine with it above 35, especially if you have something for colder temps. It's a good quality bag and I haven't had any issues with it.

I just use my 20 degree hammock gear quilt more since it's significantly warmer at the same weight.

Just bought a Magma 30. I plan to use it this summer and may hunt with it in September depending on how it goes this summer. If I hunt with it, I will bring my puffy pants so I will have the option of a full puffy layer if needed.

I have the female variant of the spark( in long and a bit warmer than spark) . It is very thin. I’d go magma if I were you.
