Was scouting my elk unit and saw this guy. Wish I had a deer tag too. Nice buck.

Nice buck. Aint that the way of it? Dont dare go deer hunting without an elk tag..... Great way to keep bears away also, just bring a bear tag with you. Last time I went hunting with no bear tag handy I had a beautiful cinnamon brown walk right into camp with me during shooting hours

Yep...elk hunt always seems to turn into a deer hunt. Deer hunt will easily turn into an elk hunt. Its rare that you get both on the same hunt, but its smart to have both tags in your pocket. That's a decent archery buck. Good luck finding him after he rubs that velvet off.

Having both tags has made the hunt for me in the past. Hard to do in some units but always a good idea if the wallet can handle it. Good Luck!
